“O Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour,
\nthou didst promise to abide with us always.
\nThou dost call all Christians
\nto draw near and partake of Thy Body and Blood.
\nBut our sin has divided us and we have no power
\nto partake of Thy Holy Eucharist together.
\nWe confess this our sin
\nand we pray thee, forgive us
\nand help us to serve the ways of reconciliation
\naccording to Thy Will.
\nKindle our hearts with the fire of the Holy Spirit,
\ngive us the spirit of wisdom and faith,
\nof daring and of patience,
\nof humility and of firmness,
\nof love and of repentance,
\nthrough the prayers of the most blessed Mother of God,
\nand of all the saints.
