In the unrelenting pain of my spirit I must speak,
\nlament in the bitterness of my soul;
\ncome, I beg You, look at me;
\nhave You done away with me?
\nMy roots are thrust in You,
\nyet in my silence I say:
\n“The Lord God surely is upset with me;
\nHe will surely cut me off one of these days;”<\/p>\n

I look for light to understand,
\nbut there is only darkness;
\nhave I been maybe insensitive to Your Goodness?
\nhave I disappointed You in any way or neglected You?
\nor has the sight of the sun in its glory,
\nor the glow of the moon as it walked the sky,
